Meet the FESD Team: Our Kitchen Staff 

We are excited to recognize the Fortuna Elementary School District kitchen staff who serve students across all four school sites. From early-morning breakfast prep to busy lunch lines, our cafeteria teams work hard every day to ensure students have fresh, filling, and healthy meals.

Our kitchens prepare many meals from scratch, and students have plenty of choices. Some favorites include orange chicken, French bread pizza, Tacos, the nacho bar, parfaits, French toast sticks, mini cinnamon rolls, and sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches. The new Spartan, Bumble, Hornet, and Star Boxes have been a fun addition this year.

When asked about their favorite part of the job, many kitchen staff members said it is knowing they are helping keep our students' tummies full so they can learn. Jessica, Cook's Helper at Ambrosini, says Taco 🌮 Tuesday is her favorite meal, while Cafeteria Manager Miranda Ryan likes the orange chicken. 

All four schools also offer "Second Chance Breakfast" 🥯🥓🍳, allowing students to eat breakfast mid-morning. Breakfast and lunch are free for students. Parents and guardians who attend Lunch on the Lawn can also purchase a cafeteria lunch for only $6.

We are so thankful for our kitchen staff and the care they put into feeding our students each day. Their hard work, flexibility, and commitment to offering a variety of options help ensure students have meals they enjoy and full tummies so they are ready to learn!
